How we support structural change
Explore opportunities from the Initiative to shift the systems and policies shaping educator wellness statewide.
Educator Wellness Alliance
Educator health and wellness isn't just about individual resilience; it's shaped by the systems educators work in every day: staffing, funding, policy, and the everyday conditions of schools and campuses. Structural change means looking upstream at the root causes of issues like burnout and turnover.
The Educator Wellness Alliance (EWA) is a standing council of appointed members from a diverse group of statewide stakeholders, working to improve the health and wellness of Oregon's educators. Together, they study workplace conditions and emerging research, then turn what they learn into practical, Oregon-specific tools, policy guidance, and resources that working educators can actually use. Everything the Alliance produces is free and public, made to be used by anyone who cares about this community.

Collective Wellness Grant
Lasting wellness comes from building something your staff can count on, not from a one-time event. The Collective Wellness Grant gives Oregon PK-12 school districts, ESDs, and community colleges funding over three years to offer wellness support focused on the Initiative’s pillars and rooted in what their own educators say they need.
Grantees don't go it alone: the grant comes with clear guidelines, Action Plan templates, a menu of activities based on research and best practices, data tools made for busy educators, a Wellable account for the whole organization, an annual gathering, and a network of fellow grantees sharing what works. It's built for organizations whose leadership are ready to invest in the people who make their education organizations run.
